HISTORY OF CHAPEL COTTAGE, STUTTON, YORKSHIRE

Chapel Cottage, Stutton

Chapel Cottage is one of the oldest properties in the small village of Stutton, near Tadcaster in Yorkshire, England. It is located at the corner of Green Lane and Wilkinson Terrace. The cottage was purchased by us in July 2004 and we have found out it has a fascinating history. This website will present information from a project to detail it's history, it’s owners, it’s occupiers and that of the associated surrounding area.

It's very early history is still unknown but during the 19th Century is was used as a Methodist Preaching House hence it's current name.

If you have any further details of the property or old photographs of the area / Stutton please get in touch.
